We started calling ourselves The Biggest Little Lab in the World because we are located in Reno, Nevada and that's Reno's nickname. The name fits. We feel we offer high-quality products with high-quality customer service, plus factor in our quick turnaround, our huge inventory and our team of dedicated lab techs. So yeah, it's an attitude thing!
Sierra Optical Lab was founded in 2018 and was put under new ownership in 2022 by Steve Mullin and Laura Buchthal. But don't let that short amount of time in business fool you. The previous owner had over 30 years of experience under his belt, and had very little turnover in client base before Steve and Laura took over.

Laura's many years as a business professional include opening and operating several companies, including real estate rental management.

We sell wholesale optical products to opticians, optometrists and ophthalmologists and use only state-of-the-art equipment.
